Two thumbs up for that! Shoved it into my devserver and gave it a spin, seems like you did some work ;)
Have some questions atm regarding how the pages and layouts are handled but will probably clear up once i test setting up a site.
A tip / note: It would be a very good idea adding image previews in the media gallery lists. Seems like ordinary file list atm. Other than that i look forward to checking this out in depth!

Congratulations! I've installed and tested it a bit and It looks beautiful! I'll try to migrate one of my sites and see how it goes.
I haven't seen HTML Editors on the field type list. Are there any integrated? is it possible to integrate the Telerik one?

I'm specially interested in the Communicator. In what form will you release it? what kind of customization/extension we'll be able to do on it?

HI
The default html editor is Tinymce. You can find it on the field type list.

That's possible to integrate the Telerik RAD. It's really simple to do that. You can try to create a custom control type by yourself.

Like we said above,

You can expect a free version enough to be used for your own company. You will be able to integrate it into your own system via API. For newsletter application, we did not provide much for extension development. It is pretty standard newsletter applications.

The module development is commented at the CTP version for now.

We are sharping our new module development, we would like to provide HTML coding standard as well in order to make the modules looks identical as other built in Kooboo functions.

We do not expect too much changes in module development.

We almost finished our implementation on Module development now.

From what we see now, it is very similar as 2.0, only with some improvement.

I must say I am impressed.

WOW. Just WOW. You guys have created a great CMS!

Congrats to you guys. All the devs and testers.

I run Wordpress sites with E-Commerce on CentOS. I have a Windows Core VPS that for sure will start playing with it and Kooboo.

Please, don't take this as a offense, just an opinion:

Establishing a road map will make things go better for the community and you guys. Remember that it will byno way written on stone, hence if there is a delay on some feature, don't worry. A healthy and good community will give all the support and comprehension for that matter.

Don't focus on a forum feature. I have seen too many attemps to reinvent it, and at the end the customers gets either something that doesn't works as expected or a feature poor forum that just handles users, threads and posts.

Speed (Cache), Security, Customization (Easy Themes Imports. E.g: From WP to KooBoo), Language, Modularity (Ecommerce, CRM, Reports, Web Forms, Email Marketing, Payments Gateways, others) <== Check businesscatalyst.com, I have 2 clients with them. Their prices are from another world, but "just works".

I want to point out that it is important the order of importance you give to this topics.

There are a bunch of freelance high quality designers. Including some UI and design improvemments in the admin panel will translate on easy to see and explore interface. Don't do what others do, creating a feature rich CMS, easy to manage and all, but lacks on interface quality.

Focus on Support. Major projects gets a lot more welcome when its free and offers pay-for-support. It gets a lot more attention, more bugs reports, more user base. That translates on more need for support. RedHat does the same with CentOS.

In the near future, when the project can offer a better integration with the "social thing" (twitter, facebook, etc, etc) start offering Kooboo as a service for the blogger (Hosting).

I run out of time but the list can grow a little. :P

Cheers Kooboo, nice CMS!

Hi - I'm in the process of upgrading our site to 3.0. We have built a number of custom classes that extend the previous framework. Most of these classes rely heavily on core Kooboo functionality previously found in the Everest namespace. I'm having some trouble finding equivalent functionality in the new 3.0 APIs. A couple of the biggest issues I've hit so far:

Is 3.0 still using Unity for DI? Looking at the source I haven't yet found an equivalent to the UnityManager class found in the Everest.Library project in previous versions. Also, same question about the Search functionality. Is there a 3.0 equivalent to the Everest.Search project?

Any help I could get in understanding if these things still exist in 3.0 would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
asn_dev

HI asn_dev

The things you found are all correct. The DI framework and full-text search function were gone in the kooboo CMS3. Three are some reasons to remove the unity, the most important is we want to keep the project independently, a few and clear third assemblies referencing.

The full-text search function will be considered in the future.
