Hello Jifeng,

This is not regarding what I having discussion with you. Actually, today I tried to copy one of the existing layout already created and saved it with a new Name. It was saved successfully. But when I tried to edit it, resulted in Object reference error . In fact, when I tried to delete the new copied layout It also gave me Object reference not set to an instance of an object. error.

Below are the steps as to what was done and what happened.

1. In BookTest site, I went to Development>Layouts
2. I selected the layout “comp_content” and selected the copy button
3. I created a name for the comp and clicked save
4. But when I click on it to edit it I get a “object reference not set” error
5. I also cannot delete any of the copied layouts, I get a “Object reference not set to an instance of an object.” Error

Please take a look at this and let us know what the problem is and how can we fix it and prevent it from happening in the future. We are using Kooboo CMS 3.0.2.2. If there's any need to update the DLLs, then please also provide the URL from where we can download required DLLs.

Thanks & Regards,
Kaustubh Shukla

Hi Jifeng,

What is the reason behind this issue?? It was working fine previously but suddenly stopped working. Can you tell me what triggers this issue?? Do we need to upgrade CMS to fix this issue? And also do let me know if there are costs involved for upgrading CMS application.

Thanks & Regards,

It was a really old issue, you can fine the hotfix here :http://kooboo.codeplex.com/SourceControl/changeset/changes/bb5c50ca8580

Download that version source code, rebuild it to update.

High recommend you to upgrade your kooboo cms to lastest version.
