Hi all!

I examined the search logic in the sample site. I saw that I can search on "Lorem", but not on "lor". Is it somehow possible to search for lor either?

My second question is:
Unfortunately in hungarian there are special characters like : á,é,ő,ú. The tinymce Converts it to á &eacute , ő, ű

The search engine cannot find words with letters like above. Do somebody has experience with spacial characters?

Thanks in advance,
Géza

You can change tinymce settings in this file view/shared/master.script.ascx

I think you said "lor" is a part of "dolor". It is impossible to search some characters in the whole word by full text search, please read the wiki to learn what is full text search: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_text_search

But you can do the search using WhereContains search by Kooboo CMS content query API.

Thank you for your answers!
Hrvoje_86 answer was good now the tinymce doesn't encode the letters. (btw: why isn't it that way as default)

Jifeng!

("lor" is in "Lorem" and "dolor" either :))

I have many folders (10) with different contenttypes. I think WhereContains is not a good way, because the search page would be very complicated than. eg.: 2 results in "NewsFolder", 40 results in "ContentFolder" (with paging....)

Anyway I saw a flag on editpage Settings tab named "search index" waht is it for? it puts the content of the page in lucene?

Thanks in advance

Afterwards I found it in the forum.
And how to use it? how to set up the search settings in "Database->Search->Settings"?
I can select there folders but not pages...

Thanks
