I would like to be able to associate some misc metadata to my top-level pages... the HTML meta seemed close, and I could probably get away with using it... but an actual propertybag on the page would be a little more appropriate.

perhaps this would be useful on other objects (views, files, content folders, etc) as well, though i don't personally have a need at the moment.

Do you mean you need to add some custom html metadata values? If it is, you can add them at the "Custom meta fields", they will be included in the page.

jifeng attached the following image(s):

I am not looking for custom <meta> tag values... I am looking for misc internal propertybag values (like what color the nav menu item would use).

Granted, I could overuse the <meta> values... it's not like the color is some big secret, it gets rendered either way... but perhaps some day the data should be only accessible via code/API.

Maybe you need the custom settings on the page, the custom setting is extensible allow you to add some extra setting on the page. isn't it?

Interesting to know... at the moment the site is on 3.0.5.17339 and when editing a page, I only have tabs for: Designer, Settings, Navigation, HTML meta, URL route, DataRules, and Plug-ins... not sure if some sort of custom settings need to be enabled, if they're in a newer version, or if they'd need to be extended via custom development.
