Hi,

Can anyone help us with adding our module into the left menu? We assume we need to amend Menu.config, but it isn't clear exactly how. Does anyone have any examples we could follow?

E.g. we have a new module: Kooboo.CMS.BlogManager

Thanks,

Martin

It will integrate the menu.config of module into the left menu under “Extension\Modules\{ModuleName}”.

If you want to integrate the menu into other menu node, it will be impossible for now. But we have planned to do it in the next version.

Hi Jifeng,

Thanks for the reply. We feel that the current module menus are too 'hidden'. We want to make it more obvious.

Is there no way we can add another node to the main admin menu.config file? Even if just manually?

Hi,

Is there any progress on being able to raise or replace a module somewhere else in the menu?

We'd really need this functionality.

Thanks,

Armand

Hey Jifeng,

Wow, that's some nice improvement you've done there, guys.

Thanks for that. I crack on right away with it :)

(Hoping that we can use it with the actual version of Kooboo... ?)

Thanks,

Armand

Edit:
Guess we can't use it just yet as the whole scaffold-structure's changed, right?
Looking forward to Kooboo 3.1, though :)

Yes, the new module template is only work on the new version. The next version will be 3.1, it is a big milestone, we will also release a windows azure package for user to install kooboo cms into the windows azure with SQLAzure.

The new implement of module template, is a really kooboo cms runtime. It does not mock anything, what you see in the development is going to be show in the production environment.

I am also looking forward the new version of kooboo cms. :)

That's a very nice job and congrats for the 3.1 milestone in advance.

Do you have a release date for the new version? (I think most of us here would like to get that for Christmas :D)

Thanks for the sneak-peek, anyway, I've already converted my modules to be able to use them in the new environment.

Cheers,

Armand
