Hi

I tried to migrate a website based on 3.04 with XML database to release 3.05 with MongoDB 2.x.
The following problems occured:

1.) "import site" did not import anything (works for a minute and after that stays on the import popup without a message)
2.) the DataRules filtering seems not to work with controltyp other than Textbox (this behaviour can be verified also in the KooBoo content folder search)

Any ideas on this? With what MongoDB release did you verified your provider?

thanks
Tom

HI

We have one project in use MongoDB provider, and I also test in MongoDB before it was released.

If you can get some error logs under the "WebEvents" folder will be great for us to investigate the problem.

Hi

1.) The Log-File is empty. Maybe there is a problem with the export ZIP based on some strange image file names of my customer <- I'll try to investigate this by myself

2.) is easy to reproduce: Add a ControlTyp Int32 (for example "sortorder") to the SampleSite content type "article". Add some articles and try to find them in the folder view with the search option "advanced" (for example "sortorder greater than 1") <- you want find any data

Regards
Tom

I also have this problem.
It seems like progress animation stops but the importing of the site goes on in the background still as i can see folder being created.
My site export is 534 MB.
When the request returns and the progress animation stop the importing is still going on.
How do i know when it is finished?

There should be an option to change content provider for a website.
Having export all the images when exporting only to import them again makes changing the content provider very slow and difficult.

HI Hrvoje_86:

I also met this problem. Because the loading animation will stop in few minutes, but for some big sites the importing process will consuming more times. If the loading animation stopped, the importing process will be going on until it finished or the exception be throwed(You can find the exception log under "Cms_Data\WebEvents"). After the importing action finished, the page will be reload.

If your site very big(bigger than 200M), I suggest you to remove the files(images, videos, flash) from the site package, and then copy the files manually.
If the db data is too much(much than 50 thousands record), I suggest you to migrate your database manually rather than export/import the site.

I have imported a big site (190 MB) successfully, I wait for a moment after the loading animation stopped. When it finished, the page was reload.
