How can I add external link in top menu (MenuHelper.Top)

I need to add external link in top menu, for example like your link "FORUM".
How can I do it without add new page, and this link will be added in MenuHelper.Top list for menu generating in my menu view.

First - output page link from MenuHelper.Top list
Second - add extelnal link at the end of menu view

One other way to do it is to create a dummy page, add this page to the navigation using the checkbox on the page properties, and then in the System : URL Redirects, add a redirect to go to the external URL.

Not very elegant, but it does work, and will use the built-in menu/navigation, and also let you place the menu item exactly where you want.

You point out a very good suggestion ----> Add an extra setting to a dummy page, call it redirect.

Create a dummy page for redirect only, instead of do it in two steps, create a page and then create a redirect setting.
