What are the best practices for security?

Obviously changing the admin user password, but what else?

Is it possible to rename the /cms_data folder or protect it?
What about the /areas folder?

What else would you recommend?

You can not rename the "Cms_Data", can not rename "areas" too.

You must open the Cms_Data can be visit by web request, but others folder you can denied for web request.

Also, we recommend you run the site under medium trust level, it will restrict ability of the C# code to control the system resource.
