Hi,
I have a SiteB inheriting from SiteA. I have an schema that defines a collection of pictures (using Child schema).

SiteB translates all the content from SiteA. When content is added to SiteA and then localized in SiteB, everything works fine. The problem is, when the collection of pictures is updated in an entry on SiteA, on SiteB the collection is not updated. It keeps the "state" of the moment when it was localized.

Is there a why to "refresh" or "update" the content of the child site from the base site? or should it be automatic and I'm doing something wrong?

This is the problem/limitation of sub content. Sub content is not meant to be inherited. Sub content from SiteA will be available only on siteA.

This is our initial design, because at that time, we think sub content are content like comments. Comments should not be shared across sites.

Ah,
then the problem is my implementation. I use subcontent as a picture gallery. At the time when I did it, it seemed a good idea :)
I guess I can find another way of implementing the picture gallery...

I use subcontent for images too, just hanging binary photos off a content item is too limited for my needs. The image schema contains the image in 3 sizes, a description, tags etc and (also allows for comments against the image)

This is going to be a problem for me when I use site inheritance
