Kooboo use ASP.NET membership, you can extend that for front site use as well. You have to extend the user profile, you may create an extra schema to store user profile.

I have an MVC app that I've written that uses RavenDB as it's database and it already has a RavenDB Membership Provider and Roles Provider that I've written to manage the application users. Would it be simply a matter of swapping out the providers in the Kooboo admin site to make it work with my application?

Ideally, what I'd like to accomplish is to use Kooboo to manage the content of my business site (home, marketing info, blog, forum) and at the same time allow users to subsribe to a service that I sell on the site. I'd like to use the same user profiles for both the business web site and the application they can subsribe to. It would even be nice to be able to manage some of the content on the application (members area) via Kooboo. How would you recommend that I accomplish this?
